Festival
Tuska Open Air Festival takes place annually in the Suvilahti area of Helsinki. The address is really close to the city center: Parrukatu 2-4, 00540 Helsinki. That is why Tuska gets +100 points to it’s karma for the location! Walking distance from the hotel / hostel, 2. No more mud and swamps! Clean boots! 3. Additional opportunities of your leasure time in Helsinki, wich will not affect your own festival timing.
If you are not a fan of walking, we recommend using public transport: you need to either get to the Sörnäinen metro station, or get to Suvilahti from the center by trams 6, 7A, 7B, 8. (2-5 EUR per ticket).
If you are traveling in a group, the Meeting Point is usually the ABC gas station near the entrance of the festival territory. Remember this place)
History
The 20th anniversary of the Tuska open air was a great event. The anthem of the festival was recorded and presented. All kinds of records have been broken, including the number of visitors for the entire duration of the festival, which now stands at 37,000 in three days! And of course, many wonderful moments have been experienced.
And the program. How big was she? The crowning glory of the festival was HIM, finishing their incredible career. Other headliners were the impenetrable Swedes Sabaton and the incredibly diverse Mastodon from the good old USA.
